skip, hop, waltz, disco, bop in an unforgettable procession of
wonder. A river of community colour and life will weave and flow

The beautiful surrounds of the ASTC lawns come alive with
multicultural dancers, tango, contemporary dance, youth stars,
craft stalls, bands and dance, Tara Stewart Band, Mettaphor,
Nothing But Style, with MC Shari Larkins followed by the CAAMA
produced event Many Roads One Voice featuring up to seven local
and remote community choirs with special guest artists Emma Donovan, Rachel Hore, Kavisha Mazzella and musical director Kutcha
Edwards. After this great choral event get into the funk with The
Apostles, Hip Hop direct from New York and dance the night away
with Symbiosis.

The Australian Government is proud to be associated with the 2008
Alice Desert Festival. Many Roads One Voice concert is made
possible by Festivals Australia, an Australian Government program
which supports cultural activity at regional and community festivals.

Bushfoods/Wildfoods Culinary Challenge
An opportunity for the restaurants and eating houses of Alice to
get involved in the Culinary Challenge. This year’s task is to choose
wattleseed and one other desert product and produce a ‘Festival
Dish’ (entrée, main course or dessert) which goes on the menu
before, during and after the Festival. Patrons order the dish and
vote for the People’s Choice Award. Let’s find out which eating
establishment will have bragging rights for the next year! Look in the
window for special signs of participating restaurants!
