Dear Friends of the Alice Desert Festival

Thank you all so much for your support and interest in the Alice Desert Festival. 2008 was indeed a great year with record attendances.

2009 Alice Desert Festival will happen 11-20 September with the HUB Space 11-13 September. The ever popular Wearable Arts Acquisition Awards are scheduled for Saturday and Sunday 29 & 30 August 2009 at Araluen Theatre.

Expressions of Interest for 2009 will be called for in April. Keep an eye on the website or request information from info@alicedesertfestival.com.au or call 08 8953 6111.

PLEASE NOTE: Links to 2008 events remain on this website so that you can get an idea of the wonderful array of artistic endeavour that make up the Alice Desert Festival. Some of the information is relevant in the links but all dates will no doubt change! New information will be uploaded when the 2009 Program is launched in early August, 2009.

Sadly 2008 was my third and final Festival. I wish the Committee and my successor all the best with future Alice Desert Festivals and I shall observe with great interest the development of this significant cultural event.

Living in Central Australia and being a Festival Director for 3 years has been a great professional adventure and one to cherish in the memory forever.
